Leather Care Instructions

Aniline leather:
Aniline leather is an open-pored leather where you can still see the structure of the hair follicles. It is the highest grade of leather, selected for its natural beauty, which includes insect bites, scratches, and neck wrinkles. The key characteristics of aniline leather are its softness, luxurious feel, and natural appearance. Slight shade variations are normal due to the lack of surface treatment. Because aniline leather is untreated and unprotected, it is more prone to staining and requires careful maintenance.

Care product for aniline leather:
We recommend using high-quality leather care products for aniline leather. Our Soft Cleaner & Protection Cream Premium is ideal, as it both cleans and protects.
When using this kit, avoid rubbing too hard. Use a light hand and circular motions. Start with the cleaner and follow up with the protection cream.
New leather doesn't need immediate treatment - only apply care products when the leather starts to feel dry. Dryness may occur if the furniture is placed near a heat source or in direct sunlight.
For Olivenleder (olive-tanned leather), a specially formulated care product is required. We recommend Keralux, as using other products may cause the leather to turn green.
- Always test any product on a small, hidden area before full application.

Semi aniline leather:
Semi-aniline leather has a light protective coating that slightly mutes the natural grain and pores, although features like insect bites may still be visible. This coating gives the leather a more even color and improves durability. The leather retains a soft, comfortable feel. Thanks to the light surface finish, it won't absorb oils as easily as pure aniline leather.

Care for semi aniline leather:
As with aniline leather, it's important to use the right products. Nevotex Soft Cleaner & Protection Cream Premium also works well for semi-aniline leather. The same advice applies - light hand, circular motion, and always test on an inconspicuous spot.
No need to treat the leather immediately; only do so when it feels dry. Dryness may occur if furniture is exposed to heat or sunlight.

Pigmented leather:
Pigmented leather is treated with a uniform layer of color that ensures consistent appearance and high resistance to wear and stains. This type of leather is often corrected grain, meaning it has been embossed. Common embossing styles include Madras/Uruguay (fine grain) and Dollaro/Dollaro Americano (coarser grain). Pigmented leather is very user-friendly with minimal waste. Its defining characteristic is its uniform look - you won’t see natural imperfections like scratches, veins, or insect bites.

Care for pigmented leather:
Even for pigmented leather, proper cleaning is essential. The Nevotex Leather Master Cleaning & Protection Kit is suitable for this type of leather. Use the same gentle circular motion and always test on a hidden area. Follow the cleaner with the protection cream.
As with other leathers, don’t treat it right away - only when it feels dry.
For pigmented leather, cleaning is the most important aspect of care.
