It all starts from the material
The design of Bar Teerenpeli Kuopio was guided by the vision of blending the overall aesthetics of two floors - the modern elegance of the street level - with the bolder, “underground” themed basement, which previously served as a bank vault back in the days. The aim was to create a space where people could relax, socialize, and enjoy great drinks.
One of the most significant ways Nevotex fabrics were incorporated into Restaurant Teerenpeli Kuopio’s design was through the upholstery of chairs, sofas, and bar stools. In a bar and restaurant, seating comfort is essential for creating a welcoming environment that encourages patrons to linger and relax. Nevotex fabrics are renowned for their durability, which is essential in high-traffic spaces like a bar where furniture must endure continuous use.
Nevotex Fjord Vintage col. 31 cognac (sofas) and Nevotex Highland Vintage col. Grön (stools) were a perfect match to fit the required specifications.
The “underground” space, i.e. basement, has another impressive bar, next to Teerenpeli’s own Whisky Cube. Teerenpeli Brewery and Distillery has produced a special series of Whisky Cubes in their restaurants where customers have the opportunity to buy their own share of the unique Whisky Cube Single Malt Whisky.
The basement stage has soft, low seating upholstered with Nevotex Star Satin col. Green. The Martindale of > 200 000 (the number of times a fabric can withstand rubbing or abrasion against another surface before signs of wear and tear become apparent) is more than we could dream of, says interior architect Sebastian Sandelin. The Star Satin is classified into a category of “Extreme Durability”.
