Blend

Created to mark 140 years of Nevotex, the anniversary fabric Blend is a tribute to people, craftsmanship, and the quiet power of coming together. It reflects the belief that true strength is found not in contrast, but in cohesion.
 

Blend is designed in collaboration with Tinna Ahlander of Tinna Design, who has been drawing faces since childhood. Working primarily in Adobe Illustrator, she explores repetition, identity, and perception - often creating patterns that reveal themselves gradually. With Blend, the intention was to capture an aha moment: at first, the pattern appears abstract, before the human faces and silhouettes slowly emerge.

The pattern is built from individual forms that dissolve into a soft, camouflagelike landscape. Camouflage is reimagined not as something rooted in conflict, but as a form of inclusion and protection: where many elements blend into a shared expression. The result is organic, calm, and deeply human.
