A natural and attractive choice with our upholstery leather and other leather

All our furniture skins and leather from our wide range are carefully selected and maintain a consistently high quality with great opportunities to optimize material use and costs. There are three different types of leather; aniline, semi-aniline and corrected/pigmented. What distinguishes these three qualities is to some extent the quality, but above all the appearance.

Our different leather qualities

An aniline leather is of the highest quality, where natural shifts, neck folds, scars and marks appear on the hide. This should be seen as proof of authenticity that it is actually aniline. Only a few hides are selected for production as aniline leather at first sorting, and this type of leather only becomes more beautiful over the years. An aniline leather only gets a light coating to protect against dirt. On this type of furniture leather, the natural surface is sensitive and needs good care. Especially when an aniline leather breathes and absorbs, for example, liquid.

On a semi-aniline leather, the naturalities of the hide may appear, but to a lesser extent than that of an aniline leather. In addition to a through dye, this type of leather gets a slight nuance that increases durability and makes the leather more easy to care for. The leather still retains its natural look, feel and good comfort. The treatment provides a soft leather that can withstand a little tougher grip, which is ideal for public environments. Semianilin leather is also easy to clean and age is not as evident as compared to an aniline.

Something that characterizes a corrected, also called technical, leather is that the entire leather has the same embossing and you can’t see the hides natural marks. This leather quality should withstand hard wear, be light resistant and easy to clean. Therefore, the skin undergoes more surface treatments and genome stains than other qualities. This also needs to be done in order for the leather to meet the tough demands placed in the public environment, restaurants, aftermarket for cars or trucks and so on. Corrected leather is very untenable and durable, as well as easy to care for and clean.
