VITORIA is made of the finest aniline quality, soft and pleasant also produced in a non-toxic tanning process where the active substance is coming from olive leaves. In the leather, all natural and genuine shifts appear which create a feeling of high quality. The raw hides are European without humps or burn marks and comes from carefully selected suppliers in area close to the tannery.
Natural scars, marks etc. will occur, but it does not change the quality of the leather. On the other hand, it tells that the animal has had the good life Colour shade may occur as it is pure aniline and as the skins absorb colour differently as it is a natural product.
The tanning agent is a vegetable concentrate based on an aqueous olive leaf extract coming as a by-product from olive leaves which is renewable raw materials.
The plant extract is free from metals and any chemically synthetic reactive tanning agents. The water consumption is reduced by 27 % compared to ordinary tanning process. Furthermore, this process allows reduction of acids, salts, syntans and dyestuffs - compared to traditional tanning methods. The same tanning agent can be found in natural cosmetics as well as in extra virgin olive oil. All raw hides come from farmers certified within the Animal Welfare Program.
